Co'ox Mayab is a second-tier organization made up of nine tourism cooperatives dedicated to community-based tourism in Yucatán. As a union of cooperative societies, they promote the sustainable practice of responsible, supportive, fair and conscious tourism.

The initiative stems from a diagnosis carried out in 2014 in conjunction with the Alternative Community Tourism Council of Yucatan (COTACY). In 2015 the proposal for the creation of Co'ox Mayab arose, in order to address the problems identified. In recent years the organization has been strengthened, obtaining in 2019 the Cemex-Tec Award in the category of Community Entrepreneurship and the Yucatan Entrepreneur Award, in the category of Social Entrepreneurship.
