The RTC of the Mayan Zone of Quintana Roo was formed in 2014 by 8 social enterprises, whose creation is linked to the Maya Ka'an brand. The NGO "Amigos de Sian Ka'an" laid the first efforts to strengthen social enterprises and make the sector visible in the state of Quintana Roo. The operator "Caminos Sagrados" was created in 2018 in order to facilitate the commercialization of the network in the Riviera Maya with the creation of routes that integrate the various participating organizations and complementing their services.
