In 1994 in Tihosuco the museum of the "War of the Castes" was established, this motivated many of its inhabitants to promote and develop activities related to local history and culture.

 

Thus, on June 24, 2003, the Cooperative Society "U Belilek Kaxtik Kuxtal" was formed, which means "The way to search for our existence"; with the objective of creating sources of employment in the community, taking advantage of the cultural heritage in a sustainable way and improving the quality of life through community tourism.

Based on the experience of the members, the organization offers guided visits to the museum, the colonial church, the sewing, traditional medicine and cotton spinning workshops. We also offer food services and typical ambiance of Mayan Paax music, regional dance, stories and legends of the region.
